JUST GOT BACK FROM THE TOY GIG WITH MARIA AND IT WAS AMAZING AND I NEARLY CRIED AT HEART SKIPS A BEAT AND AFTERWARDS WE STALKED OUTSIDE FOR AGES AND TOM CAME OUT AND WE TALKED TO HIM AND HE WAS SO SUPER FRIENDLY AND WONDERFUL AND HE SIGNED MY TICKET AND THEN I EXPLODED WITH JOY AND DIED

IT WAS GREAT HERE IS WHAT I SAW
- novella on saturday - MAGNIFICENT, totally fallen in love with them, they are all gorgeous and perfect and their guitarist has a really nice epiphone and I want to be her ahrgrhgh
- childhood at the bowery were excellent, I hadn’t really expected them to be so good because I’d only had a quick listen on their soundcloud but oh man. and the guitarist was 110% babe (saturday was beautiful guitarist day)
- after getting into the bowery ID-less and triumphant we stayed there for a good few hours, and saw hookworms (not that great, bit screamy and too many seven minute jams for one set) and best friends who were JOYOUS and there was much crowdsurfing
- then we finally saw PEACE who were fantastic, I properly danced when they played li’l echo and I never dance at gigs, so that’s how rad they were. it was totally worth getting hit nearly in the eye by the zip of a jumper being waved around by the twat next to me
- the crookes at the shakespeare were fantastic, it’s the second time I’ve seen them live this month and I’ve only been a fan of them for about as long, but I LUV THEM. the room was also totally rammed and boiling and sweaty so they played topless, which was a cheeky bonus
- on sunday we sat on devvy green to watch little comets, who were brilliant even though they didn’t play isles which is my favrit, and eugene mcguinness, who DID play lions (don’t wanna be one of those ‘ew I only like their hit singles’ people but wtv wtv)
- then we strolled along to the frog and parrot to see my dear friends q-ship, who were excellent as always, and then colours and the kids who I feel very attached to because they have this one song called/about liverpool and it’s BEAUTIFUL and I can’t find it online anywhere, so I just follow them around instead. everything else they play is great too, but that one song aaaawwww
- then we tried to get into the harley to see toy but totally failed, even with mine and maria’s well-rehearsed ‘oh I forgot my driver’s license, bugger’ routine. OH WELL there’s always next year
yep it was a pretty great weekend

JOSH SIGNED MY PICK. he said it wasn’t the most ridiculous thing he’d ever had to sign, so that was nice. I told him that he was a massive inspiration to me as a guitarist althought it probably came out like “aarhlhblhbarlbrl inspiration arlahrghgllgh massive alahlrgahrgliloveyoualjkhg” but he was really sweet then he hung around chatting to our little gang of fans for a while which was so great, he’s just so great ahh
also I got my ticket signed by all of TOY and one of bo ningen who was especially lovely. not sure which signature is which and half of one got torn off by the ticket person but o well
